Offered today is a fine quality vintage Art Deco era solid 14k gold amethyst ring which could be worn by a man or a woman. There’s no guessing of the age on this one–it is beautifully inscribed “EMN to GFL” and the date of 1933. I love when you can tell the ring is a true antique, and a nice gateway to the past. Amethyst is February’s birthstone. This ring features an emerald cut natural amethyst measuring 12 x 8 mm, which is approximately 5 carats in size. It is set in a heavy 14k gold mounting with beautiful engraved detail on each shoulder, as well as above and below the stone. The amethyst is in very fine condition with no damage. The face measures 1/2 top to bottom. It is hallmarked 18k, and is inscribed and dated, as noted above, in lovely script. It weighs a hefty 7 grams, is a size 7 and can be sized by any competent jeweler. This antique amethyst ring is in excellent vintage condition.
