Antique, Vintage 10K Yellow Gold Double Faced Cameo Ring Two Roman Soldiers Busts Double cameo ring with tricolor Sardonyx and Onyx carved gemstones. I believe that this was most likely made in Italy around the 1920’s. In very good condition for its age. The black stone has a tiny chip on its top right corner and the band shows very light wear, but neither take away from the ring and they are hard to see. It is personally engraved in script with the original owner’s full name, otherwise, it shows typical wear from use and storage, including light surface marks and scratches. It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, and is very clean. It is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all. It is a very simple, plain exterior designed ring with the 14th Degree motto in Latin, VIRTUS JUNXIT MORS NON SEPARABIT (Whom Virtue Unites, Death Shall Not Separate), stamped on the inside. It is recess hallmarked on the inside 14K in what looks like a loaf of bread shape, hallmark for historic and listed USA fine jewelry maker, J. We did perform a stone & acid test and it confirms 14K gold and measured it with a professional ring mandrel at a US size 8.25 or 8-1/4. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown is taken from a 1917 jewelry trade magazine and completely documents this mark, maker, and period. Antique Victorian 14K Solid Yellow Gold & Amethyst Snake Head Ring. This ring is a heavy 7.2 grams ring in large size 9.75. Ring has old markings inside the snake head, just gold markings on the little plate. This ring was in my family for the last 100 years and it was always known as Henrys ring. The owner of the ring was uncle Henry a wealthy merchant guy. Ring is in good freshly cleaned condition, the only problem is that one side of the ring lost its decorative cup(please see 2 sides on the pictures), it doesn’t effect structure of the ring the little cup (piece of gold was lost a long time ago), we always had it just the way it looks now. The stones are very high quality Amethyst stones. The form of the ring is a snake head with stones for the eyes. This ring is 14K solid gold ring from early Victorian time 1860’s. Please No low ball offers just for the weight of the gold. I want some one to preserve and enjoy this ring, so no scrap price please.
