Vintage 1970s Brown Jadeite Jade Men’s Ring with 0.5CT Citrine, Size 7, 5.8g

This unusual vintage c1970s is crafted from a single piece of brown jadeite jade. It is a US size 7 and weighs 5.8 grams. The citrine stone is square cut and measures 5.5mm (L) x 5.5mm (W) x approx. 3mm (D) for a total estimated carat weight of approx. There is a small chip in the one corner of the stone – unfortunate but does not detract from the overall beauty of this ring. The citrine is bezel set, surrounded by a gold frame 1.6mm wide. The band of the ring is 2.6mm thick at the base and 6.2mm thick at the face i. The face is 10mm x 10mm square. The jadeite is a lovely orange-brown color, with nice translucency – really beautiful in the light. A very attractive ring in good overall condition (minor surface abrasions only – no chips or cracks in the jade). Vintage Art Deco Era Men’s 14k Yellow Gold Ring with a 4 prong set round faceted 0.5 Carat Red Spinel gemstone. The top setting of the ring is white gold with side White Gold triplet squares. The shoulders have horizontal lines which give depth and texture to the top shoulder areas of the ring. The red spinel is synthetic (man made). Marked inside the shank: 14K (and tested 14K). Size: 11.5 Most vintage rings usually need to be sized by your jeweler. Measurements: The top of the ring measures approximately 11mm girdle length x 19mm girdle width. The whole white gold frame setting of the ring is approximately 7mm girdle length x 13mm girdle width. The shank measures approximately 4mm at the bottom or back and gradually increases to 7mm where the shoulders meet the top. When worn, the ring sits approximately 3/16 above the finger. The round faceted red spinel is approximately 5.5mm diameter x 2.5mm depth, which translates to approximately 0.5 Carat Spinel. Good Vintage Condition: As to be expected with vintage jewelry, there are scratches in the gold metal commensurate with age and wear. The back of the shank shows that the band has been increased in sized at some point in the past. The ring is slightly out of round as can be seen in the last picture.
