Vintage 1920s Art Deco 14k White Gold Octagonal Ruby Mens Pinky Womens Ring 7.4g. For your consideration today is a fine quality, heavy, solid 14k white gold vintage Art Deco 1910 – 1920 ruby ring, with a uniquely shaped stone and an octagonal face. The mounting is beautiful, with its raised and etched “feathered” designs all around the face and down the shoulders. The stone has a chip on one side that is most visible in the FIFTH photo below. It is currently a size 6.75 and would be nice as a men’s pinky ring or it could even be worn by a woman–it’s that “unisex” size–you can see it on my woman’s hand in the pics. This ruby is a deep and brilliant red. It is a lab-created ruby with the same properties as a genuine ruby–it is NOT GLASS, as tested on the Presidium gem tester. The cut is unusual as you can see from the photos, and it’s difficult to even ascertain the carat weight because of the unique cut of the stone. It measures about 13.5 mm side to side, by 10mm top to bottom. The setting is in very nice condition and other than the one chip, the stone has NO abrasion or scratches on the surface. The face of this ring measures 1/2 top to bottom. The ring is marked 14k and it weighs a hefty 7.4 grams. It feels nice and sturdy on the hand.
