Antique Victorian Family Crest Signet Ring 18k Yellow Gold Vintage Mens Jewelry. Weight: 11.6 grams. The ring is hallmarked “18” along with a crown and the makers mark C. Finely detailed Men’s antique Victorian era signet ring (circa 1880s to 1900s) , crafted in 18 karat yellow gold. The shield shaped mount features a family crest with a deer appearing to bound from three wheat sheaves (possible reference to Chester, UK). A crown appears above the deer and wheat scene. The ring is English in origin. Although the ring was made for a gentleman, the ring can also be worn by a woman. The side shoulders feature deep chased scrolled detail. The ring has a nice weighty feel (11.6 grams) with a thickness to the buttery gold. The ring is in very good condition with some light wear evident. We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve the patina and collector value. Size & Measurements: The ring is a size 4 3/4 (sizable). The shield mount measures 14mm in length (0.55 inches) and 11mm wide (0.43 inches), rising 2.5mm from the finger. Metal & Hallmark: 18 karat yellow gold.
