Vintage Mens 14k Gold WWII Signet Ring w/ American Eagles BLANK sz. 8.25 7.65g. This 14k solid yellow gold ring dates to the WWII era and has an American eagles on each shoulder. These rings were commonly worn by service members. This is a “patented” design. When you remove a long 14k gold screw, you can remove the blank plate set into the center of the ring. The jeweler would have had emblems from each branch of the armed forces available or, in this case, a blank onto which one’s initials (or sweetheart’s name) could be engraved. His ring has never been customized! The plate measures approx. 15mm x 12.5mm. The ring weighs 7.65 grams. There is no gold hallmark, but the ring has been tested. It is a size 8.25 US and can easily be sized up or down by your jeweler. There is some wear to the eagles, as shown. Their faces have become somewhat indistinct. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
