Fine vintage 14K yellow gold Art Deco era men’s ring, 7.7 grams. Set with a single beautiful old mine cut diamond, estimated to weigh. 62/100 carat, and with the characteristics of antique hand faceted diamonds of an earlier era: this diamond is not what we would now consider’high grade’ or ideal. It features a clarity of I, and a color that has a slight tint to it, and a slightly off round, or more pillow/cushion shape. That said, it looks great on, and barring close examination wears beautifully with all the charm these old diamonds possess. Diamond is surrounded by a tight silver bezel, which leads me to believe that it may have been repurposed from a Victorian era piece of jewelry – when diamonds were typically set within silver mounts. The ring is solid, size 10.5 and has been previously sized, as shown. It shows appropriate wear, but is ready for wear, out of the box, and is simple grand. Historic stamps (hallmarks) are lost due to sizing though we can see a bit of a stamp of some sort adjacent to the sizing.
