Oison Ring in solid 18K Yellow Gold with enameled cross on the face. On back side there is a hidden compartment covered with hinged lid. The lid shuts pretty tightly and can only be lifted using a tip of the nail. Swedish fragmented hallmarks , marked 18K, hallmarks of unknown maker. Year marks I4 = made in the year 1839. This ring is old and apparently used to be someone’s long time favorite / permanent ring. Old repairs, wear to enamel. This ring was recently inspected by my jeweler. Old repairs were reinforced to insure best integrity and durability. This ring is safe / comfortable to wear. Measurements: face : 9 mm x 7 mm x 3 mm deep. Size: Ø 8.5 US / 18.53 mm. Vintage Men’s or Man’s Poison Ring in Sterling Silver – The top area and the shoulders are hand engraved by a skilled silversmith. The hinged top opens to reveal a secret compartment within the top of the ring. Many US servicemen were sent to fight in the Korean Conflict, and many did not come back alive. Not Marked: tested sterling silver. Size: 10.75 This ring could be sized by your jeweler. Weight: 7.7 grams. Measurements: The top area of the ring measures approximately 3/4″ girdle length x 1/2″ girdle width. The back of the shank measures approximately 5.4mm and gradually increases to 15.6mm at the shoulder sides under the top area. When worn, the ring sits approximately 1/8′ above the finger. Good vintage condition: There are light scratches in the sterling silver metal commensurate with true age and gentle wear. This ring was not worn much.
