VINTAGE 1970, UNSIGNED / UNBRANDED, 10K GOLD, WITH BLUE RHINESTONE WITH INLAID MOTHER OF PEARL, MEN’S SCHOOL CLASS RING FROM ARLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA USA. NO MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS. IT MEASURES A US SIZE 9.5 OR 9-1/2, STONE MEASURES WELL OVER 3.0+ CARATS OR 5/8 LONG. TOP MEASURES 3/4 WIDE. SHANK IS 1/8 WIDE, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 13.0 GRAMS Shows typical light wear from use and storage, including minor marks, scratches, light nicks in a few edges, and the top logo embellishment is lightly loose. It is not monogrammed or engraved, is very clean, shines nice as it is, is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all. It is a classic design with the year 1970 split between each side on the top and features an embellishment with the letter A in the center and reads ARLINGTON HS INDIANAPOLIS, over a deep blue faceted rhinestone with nicely done inlaid mother of pearl shell. It really stands out in person. It is not hallmarked by a maker, nor a metal purity, so it is possible this ring was designed and made by a local jeweler at the time. We did perform a stone and acid test, and it does confirm 10K gold. We measured this ring with a professional ring mandrel and it comes out to be a US Size 9.5 or 9-1/2. We measured the stone with a gemstone gauge tool and it measures well over 3.0+ carats. This is a very nice, very collectible and wearable ring for those that once attended this school, you collect local history and memorabilia, or unique school jewelry!
