This Turquoise is natural and not color enhanced in any way. The Kingman mine in northwestern Arizona is one of the largest turquoise mines. Kingman blue is common, this Kingman is a SKY BLUE with an AMAZING RARE ORANGE COLLAPSED MATRIX not commonly found in most Kingman Turquoise. The pattern in this turquoise formed when water infiltrated the turquoise and then oxidized iron worked into the crevices. Then over time pressure collapsed the matrix packing the tiny spiderweb formations tightly. Natural Kingman is highly collectible. The Kingman mine re-opened in September 2004 after being closed in the 1970s. This Turquoise is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. T his turquoise is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any cracks, nicks, scratches, or chips.
