ANTIQUE 1900s VICTORIAN ERA, BLOCK RING CO, BUFFALO, NEW YORK USA 10K YELLOW GOLD LETTER “B” INITIAL NAME MONOGRAM, MEN’S SIGNET / PINKY BAND RING NO OTHER PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS, IN A US SIZE 9, TOP PLATE MEASURES 5/16″ x 9/16″ AND IS 1/16″ or 1.5mm THICK, SHANK IS 1/8″ WIDE, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 5.0 GRAMS. Men’s Antique Art Deco c 1920 10K Gold VASELINE YellowithGreen SPINEL Enamel Ring
This exceptional antique ring dates from between the late Edwardian to early Art Deco period, as there are elements of both. The 10K white gold setting shows intricate engraving, most of which is decorated with blue, green, and black enamel. The enamel work with the pale yellow-green stone is a stunning combination. The bezel-set, emerald-cut stone is a spinel. The highly-reflective synthetic stone glows under UV or black light, as uranium or vaseline glass would. But this genuine gemstone is spinel, and although it was man-made in the lab, it phosphoresces like any natural phosphorescent mineral. The inside shank is embossed “10K” inside a rectangle. Appears to have never been sized. Please keep in mind that the photos show the ring highly magnified and any flaws seen are not visible to the naked eye. Approximate measurements: 15.2 mm–face of ring North to South, 3.6 mm–back of shank. Approximate weight: 6.67 grams. Note: The color of the spinel is not as green as photos show. It is more pale with more yellow, especially in indoor light, close to the color of real Vaseline. Photos and video were taken in sunlight. Antique Art Deco Era Ring from the Scotland Estate Collection The ring features solid, hand-carved and. Sterling Silver and natural, earth-mined Smoky Quartz cabochon with a unique cut. The stone is smoothly polished on the front and pointed prism facets on the back, which create a mysterious light performance inside the stone (refer to the video). The stone exhibits flawless clarity with a desirable chocolate color and beautiful golden sparkle! Ring Size: 10.75 (on a ring mandrel). Face height of ring: 14mm. Weight: 6.5 grams. Vintage ART DECO Ruby & DIAMOND MEN’s RING 14k Gold 9.8g Size 12. Wooden keepsake gift box included. Handsome and masculine Art Deco style scroll men’s ring with a large simulated Ruby and two clean white diamonds. The diamonds are very clean and white Old European cut stones, 1/4 carat each, total carat weight of diamonds. Weight 9.8 grams. Simulated Ruby 4.3mm x 4.3mm. Natural diamond #1 (big cutlet) 3.8mm VS clarity, clean and white. Natural diamond #2 (small cutlet) 3.7mm VS-SI clarity, clean stone but a 2 small “feathers” off to one side near girdle, otherwise clean and white. Width band 4.8mm. Wooden keepsake display box, 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ x 2 1/8. This is a NEW yet vintage Art Deco ring is from my uncles closed jewelry shop on New York’s 47th Street, the Diamond District. The shop closed in the 1990’s, but had been in the the family going back years and years. This has been stored in my uncle’s safe until recently. It is brand new old stock from circa 1920’s-1930’s.
