9ct gold stamped 9CT mens opal vintage ring. The opal measures approx 14 x 12 mm Lots of colour and flashes of green and blue. Due to the fact that the sides and back of the opal are covered in gold we are not sure if this is solid opal or a doublet/triplet as it is not easy to tell when the gemstone is covered in this way. Please assume this is either a doublet or triplet as we are not sure. This is not a modern ring and has some age to it. The ring size is X 1/2 so a very large size and this can be resized by a good jeweller if required. Weighs a very heavy 8 grams. In good vintage condition however there are a few scratches to the gold in places fro wear and also there is a crack/imperfection to the gold under the setting this does not affect the stability of the ring and may of happened when this was made and is not seen when worn. The ring is totally solid and not affected. Box is for display only but will be sent well protected.
