Mens DeMolay Signet Ring Vintage Sterling Masonic Signet Mens Ring Size 8.5. The Order of DeMolay was founded in 1919 and takes it’s name from Jacques de Molay who was the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Essentially formed as an entity to guide and counsel young men ages 12-21 who “acknowledge a higher power”. There are active chapters today all over the world. This particular signet, circa 1920, is a solid and regal ring featuring an early version of the DeMolay coat of arms on the front with a sword carved onto each shoulder and the word “DeMolay” enscribed on a ribbon that wraps around each blade. The symbolism of the sword usually stands for righteousness, strength and fortitude, which would be values DeMolay certainly upholds as standards to live by, and are admirable in themselves regardless of one’s fraternal affliations.
