The lid shuts pretty tightly and can only be lifted using a tip of the nail. Swedish fragmented hallmarks , marked 18K, hallmarks of unknown maker. Year marks I4 = made in the year 1839. This ring is old and apparently used to be someone’s long time favorite / permanent ring. Old repairs, wear to enamel. This ring was recently inspected by my jeweler.
