Vintage Accutron Spaceview SS 1969 Original Chapter Ring with Boxes & Extras

Vintage circa 1969 (both case and movement are marked with date code “M9″) stainless steel Accutron original chapter ring spaceview wristwatch case reference 2528 (stenciled on inside of back cover) – with inner and outer boxes, owner’s guide (serial number filled out by original owner), and extras (including “coin” battery hatch tool) as shown. See pictures for condition. The movement was serviced in August of 2021 by a watchmaker who specializes in Accutrons- it’s keeping time to a second a day. Been phased to run on modern 1.5v batteries (Energizer 387S). The new hands are luminous, but the original chapter ring has lost its luminescence. New case back gasket and battery hatch gasket. 34.7 mm x 39 mm case. The black genuine leather band will fit an 8 wrist. This watch needs nothing – it is ready to wear. The tag pasted to the outer box is marked Accutron Spaceview G 21036 Wht. The boxes are in excellent shape with no obvious flaws. Vintage circa 1965 (Case and caliber 214 movement are both marked with date code “M5″) original chapter ring Accutron Spaceview. 10k gold filled case and stainless steel case back. Luminous hands and chapter ring. Note the strong stencil indicating this is a case reference “2531” watch. The movement was serviced in January of 2021 by a watchmaker who specializes in Accutrons. Been phased to run on modern 1.5v batteries (Energizer 387S). It’s running well and keeping time to about 1 second a day. All gaskets were checked and greased and/or replaced. 34.8 mm x 38.7 mm case. See pictures for condition. This is a vintage watch with signs of use. For example- some of the plating has worn off the extreme edges of the lower lugs – this is visible in the 5th and 6th pictures. It doesn’t stand out at first glance, and doesn’t detract from the overall appearance of the watch. Ready to wear and use – with your band. 17.5 mm lugs. Rolex Vintage Explorer I 6610 Gilt “Chapter Ring” Dial ORIGINAL OWNER (6610). Excellent Condition with European Watch Company pouch. This is a vintage c. It has an integral stainless steel folded link Jubilee bracelet with a double deployant clasp and 55 endlinks, and a domed acrylic crystal. It has the original screw-down Twinlock winding crown with the Rolex crown emblem, and the screw-down case back is so lid, inside of which is engraved ” MONTRES ROLEX SA GENEVA SWITZERLAND PATENTED STAINLESS STEEL, ” and the reference number 6610. The 34.5mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, bracelet, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. It has the original patinated black/gilt dial with early radium lume skeletonized hands, a gilt minute/seconds perimeter chapter ring, and a center sweep lollipop seconds hand. There are radium luminescent Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 6, and 9, baton hour indices, and a triangle at the 12 o’clock position. It’s water resistant and the 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Explorer I Gilt “Chapter Ring” Dial 6610 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1030 movement. It’s rhodium-plated, and it’s constructed with 25 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that’s adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, a self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator. This rare Rolex Explorer I Gilt “Chapter Ring” Dial 6610 was the successor of the earliest 6298 Rolex – the original Mt. Everest Explorer watch that was produced in very small numbers.
